BMW Group Ireland recorded a strong performance in 2025, registering 5,868 vehicles, with more than 19 per cent of sales coming from fully electric models. The BMW brand accounted for 5,143 registrations, reinforcing its position as Ireland’s leading premium car brand, while MINI registered 725 vehicles, almost half of which were fully electric.

BMW registered 801 battery electric vehicles during the year, driven by strong growth in models such as the iX1 and iX2. The BMW iX1 was the brand’s top-selling electric model, supported by competitive pricing and current Government incentives. Plug-in hybrid demand also increased significantly, with 3,153 registrations, up 33 per cent year on year, led by models including the BMW X3 and XM.

Across the wider range, the BMW X5 and X1 were the brand’s best-sellers, while the 5 Series, 1 Series and fourth-generation X3 all recorded notable growth. BMW M also delivered a strong year, highlighted by 150 BMW M5 registrations, reflecting continued demand for high-performance plug-in hybrid models.

MINI enjoyed a standout year following its transition to The New Retail model, with sales up 29 per cent on 2024. Fully electric models accounted for 48.55 per cent of MINI registrations, driven by a refreshed and expanded product lineup, underlining the brand’s continued progress in electrification.
