More Refined MAZDA2 HYBRID

The Mazda2 Hybrid introduces a series of updates focused on design, comfort and safety, further strengthening its position as an efficient and practical full hybrid in the competitive B-segment. Combining compact dimensions with agile driving dynamics, the Mazda2 Hybrid continues to blend Mazda’s distinctive Kodo design language with an efficient electrified powertrain and a driver-focused interior designed for everyday usability. This year, the Mazda2 Hybrid benefits from expanded standard equipment across the range, with particular attention given to the entry-level Prime-Line model. New features now include heated front seats, a height-adjustable passenger seat, rear power windows, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and an upgraded four-speaker audio system, significantly improving comfort and convenience for daily driving.

Across the Prime-Line, Centre-Line and Exclusive-Line grades, exterior mirror housings are now finished in body colour for a cleaner and more cohesive appearance, while Homura and Homura Plus models retain black mirror caps as a distinctive styling feature. Higher specification grades have also received further refinement. Exclusive-Line models now feature full LED headlights and rear lights, while Homura and Homura Plus variants introduce updated interior finishes, including new gloss black accents across the centre console and door trims to create a more modern and premium cabin feel. The refreshed exterior design is further complemented by the introduction of three new paint finishes: Charcoal Grey, Sky Grey and Fern Green.

Inside, the Mazda2 Hybrid continues to prioritise ergonomics and ease of use, with key controls and displays positioned around the driver for intuitive operation. A low dashboard design and rearward-positioned A-pillars also help provide excellent forward visibility. Safety remains a key focus, with a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems included as standard. New for this year is the addition of a Driver Monitoring System across all grades, using an infrared camera to detect signs of fatigue or driver distraction and further enhancing overall safety. Under the bonnet, the Mazda2 Hybrid retains its proven full hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a total system output of 116PS. The system is capable of operating on electric power alone for significant periods, particularly in urban driving conditions, while maintaining the convenience of a self-charging hybrid with no requirement for external charging.

Performance remains strong for the segment, with the Mazda2 Hybrid capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 9.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 175km/h. Combined fuel consumption ranges from 3.7 to 4.2 litres per 100 kilometres, while CO₂ emissions range from 85 to 96g/km depending on specification. The 2026 Mazda2 Hybrid continues to offer a balanced approach to electrified mobility, combining efficient hybrid technology, compact practicality and enhanced comfort and safety in a package designed for modern everyday driving. Production commenced in March 2026, with the updated model now arriving in European markets.
