Mazda at the Geneva Motor Show

Mazda’s TAKERI concept is set to make its first appearance at next month’s Geneva Motor Show. The TAKERI concept is Mazda’s next generation mid-sized saloon which will replace the Mazda 6 in the future. It features their unique i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology, which converts kinetic energy to electricity during deceleration and stores it in an electric double layer capacitor.

The TAKERI will adopt Mazda’s new SKYACTIV-D diesel engine and a six-speed SKACTIV-Drive automatic transmission which offer great performance and economy.

Also on display at the Geneva Motor Show will be the all-new CX-5 and MX-5 Special Edition. The CX-5 is the first production model to feature Mazda’s “KODO- Soul of Motion” design theme and will incorporate the full SKYACTIV range of engines, transmissions, body and chassis. The MX-5 Special Edition features “Havana Brown” leather upholstery on the inside while the exterior features chrome headlamp inserts, grille surrounds and fog lamp bezels. It will also be the first MX-5 to have an integrated navigation system.
