Pictured above are Ireland and Leinster’s Eoin Reddan with broadcaster Ryan Tubridy at the launch of the Inaugural Jaguar Golf Classic for the Irish Youth Foundation, which takes place on the 4th July at the K Club. As the event takes place on Independence Day and 2014 is a Ryder Cup Ryder Cup year, the 26 teams participating will be divided into Team USA and Team Europe, and compete Ryder Cup style. All funds raised will go to supporting Irish Youth Foundation funded projects for at-risk and disadvantaged children in Ireland.
Commenting at the launch, Niall McLoughlin, IYF Director of Development said, “We are very excited about hosting our first golf event and thank Jaguar Ireland for their support for this exciting 4th of July challenge. We have had a great response already to the event from Irish, US and European companies based here and hope to fill the 26 teams to help raise much needed funds for some of our key projects. The money raised will fund projects which work with children who often experience poverty, parental misuse of drugs, and alcohol, crime and mental health issues. These projects are beacons of hope which enhance and improve their lives”.
Melanie McCourt, Jaguar Marketing Manager, said: “We are proud to support the Irish Youth Foundation and the excellent work it does to bring help and relief to young people in need. We’re very much looking forward to the Jaguar Golf Classic in the K Club in July where our full range of Jaguar models will be on display, including the new F-TYPE Coupe”.
