From October this year Ford are offering its C-MAX and Grand C-MAX with their new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, which recently made its debut in the Ford Focus. Customers can choose both the 100hp and 125hp versions of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine in both the C-MAX and Grand C-MAX. Ford estimates a combined fuel consumption of 5.1l/100km in the C-MAX, whilst the Grand C-MAX should achieve 5.2l/100km. With sales of these two models already in excess of 200,000 units, with this new engine sales should increase. As well as this new engine, both models can be specified with Ford’s SYNC in-car connectivity, Active City Stop, Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Departure Warning, Auto High Beam, Driver Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Sport Information System and a Power Tailgate.
