SsangYong are urging Irish buyers to escape from the ordinary with the Irish launch of the all wheel drive Tivoli diesel. First launched in Frankfurt, Germany, the 4WD Tivoli benefits from SsangYong’s considerable experience of manufacturing all wheel drive SUV’s. The electronically controlled on-demand system distributes power to the front and rear drive shafts as required, and automatically adjusts to the road surface and driving conditions for the best traction and performance.
Joe Harris, Managing Director of SsangYong Motors Ireland, says “This is an important addition for the already outstanding Tivoli that comes with a 1.6 diesel and petrol engines. I believe the addition of a four wheel drive version will further extend the appeal of the car across Ireland.”
With its advanced four wheel drive – a feature not found in many rivals in this segment of the SUV market – Tivoli also offers a highly competent off-road capability. With 167mm of ground clearance, approach angle of 20.8 degrees, 28.0 degree departure angle, and 18.7 degree ramp angle this is a highly capable off road vehicle. The Tivoli is available from €19,995, with a road tax from €190. The 4WD version will be available next year in the Irish market and the order books are currently open.
