The ŠKODA Monte Carlo Citigo was a car that came out in 2014 and we were lucky enough to spend some time with it. The simple additions of a styling pack with a black grille, black alloys, a sports interior and the obligatory Monte Carlo badging lead to a car with bags of character. The Citigo wasn’t the first to get this treatment. Back in 2011 the previous generation Fabia also got the Monte Carlo styling pack. Now for 2015 the all new Fabia and for the first time in the Fabia Combi Estate will also get the cool factor.
At the Geneva show we got to see some of the features of the ŠKODA Fabia Monte Carlo which included 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, black exterior design elements, tinted windows and a tinted panoramic glass roof. Inside the interior comes alive with a leather three-spoke sports steering wheel, black interior and cool sports seats.
Speaking about the Fabia Monte Carlo, Raymond Leddy Head of Marketing & Product ŠKODA Ireland said, “The Monte Carlo range has been very successful for us here in Ireland as customers increasingly look to individualise their vehicles while maintaining value. The Fabia Monte Carlo provides economy and fuel efficiency while giving the sense of a performance car from a higher price bracket.”
The good news is that the Fabia Monte Carlo model will go on sale in Ireland this July with final prices to fall just short of €19,000.
