Peugeot’s new 508 will make its Irish debut at the National Ploughing Championships next week, from the 22nd to 24th September. The new 508 is available as a saloon, SW (estate) and RXH diesel hybrid models. Prices will commence from €26,750. The exterior features LED daytime running lights, along with led indicators and front fog lights. There’s a 7” touch screen infotainment system fitted as standard. Customers can choose from three trim levels, Access, Active and Allure. The entry-level Access model comes well equipped with Bluetooth, air conditioning, electric door mirrors, front fog lamps, hill assist, LED daytime running lights, flat tyre detection system, 7” touch screen all included.
The new Peugeot 508 range will benefit from economical and efficient Euro 6 engines, including the 2.0 litre BlueHDi 150bhp 6-speed manual with CO2 emissions from just 105g/km. A new 2.0 litre BlueHDi 180bhp automatic saloon achieves CO2 emissions of 111 g/km. For petrol, the new Peugeot 508 introduces a new Euro 6 engine: the 1.6 litre THP 165bhp, with a six-speed manual gearbox or fitted with the new EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox. Replacing the Euro 5 1.6 litre THP 156, this new 165bhp engine allows reduced CO2 emissions to 129 g/km (6-speed manual) from 144 g/km. Also available is the RXH model with Hybrid4 technology, it’s 163hp 2.0-litre HDi diesel engine is combined with a 37hp electric motor to produce 200hp and four-wheel-drive. This new Peugeot 508 will be available for test drive at Peugeot dealers from October.
