Ford has launched its new Focus ST, offering improved dynamics and innovative technology. It will feature new chassis control technologies, including Ford’s enhanced transitional stability system, which combined with re-tuned suspension and steering help deliver a more responsive driving experience. Customers can choose from two engines, one petrol and one diesel. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre EcoBoost that produces 250hp and 360Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine offers 185hp and can return a combined fuel consumption of 4.2L/100km. Both the diesel and EcoBoost petrol versions will be offered to customers In Ireland. Standard spec on both versions includes: 18” alloys; unique ST body: spoiler, front and rear bumper, rocker panels and front grille; Auto-Start-Stop; ST scuff plates; heated front Recaro seats; auto lights and wipers; special ST suspension; keyless start; and Thatcham alarm. The car goes on sale in Ireland in March with the petrol variant costing €39,100 and the diesel model €39,800.
