Kia Ireland are delighted to announce that they will be returning as the Sustainable Transport Partner to The Yoga Picnic 2025. The Yoga Picnic is an intimate Yoga Festival on the banks of Lough Ennell, Co. Westmeath which celebrates Mind, Body, and Spirit. The Yoga Picnic, which takes place on Saturday July 5th will celebrate some of the world’s leading yoga teachers and promote awareness about yogic philosophies, wellness, mental health, sustainability and the environment. The festival hosts various classes, talks, therapies and ceremonies within twelve purpose built tents on an impressive thirty acre festival site. Kia will again support this eco-friendly initiative by powering all festival tents using Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) technology from their electric vehicles.
Kia’s Vehicle-to-Load technology allows electric vehicle owners to power external electronic devices using the vehicle battery as a generator. V2L allows 80% of the maximum car battery capacity to be used to power external devices, which is enough to power a household of four people for up to five days based on average monthly energy consumption. V2L is easy to use and is accessible via the 3-pin socket under the rear seats or via the external charging port using the dedicated connector. At the peak of storm Éowyn in January, almost one million homes were without power. All around the country, we witnessed customers using V2L technology to power their essential household appliances. In certain instances, our EVs were used to power entire households. This is a fantastic feature and something that many customers are still unaware of. Not only is this partnership removing the need for industrial generators at The Yoga Picnic but it’s also creating V2L awareness amongst festival goers and showcasing just how useful this technology can be for camping trips, barbecues, gardening tasks and other summer activities.”
Kia will power all twelve tents at The Yoga Picnic 2025. On the day, Kia will also be displaying their entire electric vehicle range including the EV3 (2025 World Car of the Year), the New EV6 and seven seater EV9. Kia will also be providing family entertainment including science shows, experiments and face painting.
