Skoda has announced details of its new Octavia Scout, due to be launched at the 2014 National Ploughing Championships on the 23rd September. The new Octavia Scout has a rugged appearance and is based on the Octavia estate. Pricing commences from €33,795 for the 150hp 2.0-litre TDI 4×4 variant. The Scout’s ground clearance is 31mm higher than the standard Octavia and comes with additional underbody protection as standard.
The Octavia Scout comes equipped with a Haldex 5 all-wheel-drive technology as standard. Irish motorists can choose from three engines, two diesels and one petrol. There is a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces 150hp and can achieve a combined fuel consumption of 5.1L/100km.
