Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland has been confirmed as the exclusive commercial vehicle partner for Kaleidoscope presented by Glenveagh. Now in its sixth year, the festival takes place from July 3 to 5 at Russborough House in Co Wicklow and has established itself as one of Ireland’s biggest summer events, combining live music, arts, theatre and activities for all ages. This year’s line-up includes headline performances from Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics, Natasha Bedingfield and The Saw Doctors, alongside a host of Irish and international artists. In addition to the music, the three-day event will feature science shows, workshops and a wide range of family entertainment.
As part of the partnership, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will introduce a dedicated “Camp California” experience inspired by its iconic California camper van. Designed as a relaxed and welcoming space, festivalgoers will be able to explore the vehicle, unwind and take part in a variety of interactive activities. The activation will feature a range of creative and educational experiences aimed primarily at children and families. Young visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on workshop where they can design their own personalised bucket hats to wear throughout the festival.
A separate camper-based activity will guide participants through some of the key features and basic skills associated with camper van life. Those who successfully complete the experience will receive their own “Kids Camping Licence”. Festivalgoers will also have the chance to enter a competition to win the use of a Volkswagen California camper van for a week. The partnership has been designed to highlight the lifestyle and practical appeal of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, while reflecting the festival’s focus on shared experiences and outdoor adventure.
Paul Hunt, Brand Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland, said the company was delighted to partner with the organisers.
“Kaleidoscope is all about shared moments, creativity and the freedom to explore, values that align perfectly with everything we stand for as a brand. We wanted to create a space where families can come together and experience the possibilities of camper van travel in a relaxed and engaging way,” he said.
