New FIAT Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback!

FIAT has marked its 127th anniversary by unveiling two all-new family-focused models, the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, as the Italian manufacturer continues to broaden its global model range. Revealed in an entertaining launch video featuring FIAT CEO Olivier François, the pair represent the latest chapter in the brand’s renewed product strategy, offering buyers a choice between a traditional SUV and a sleeker fastback-inspired alternative. Although sharing the same underpinnings, the two models have been designed with different buyers in mind.

The Grizzly is aimed at families looking for maximum practicality, generous interior space and everyday versatility, while the Grizzly Fastback offers many of the same qualities wrapped in a more coupe-inspired body style for those seeking a little more visual flair. Measuring 4.4 metres in length, the Grizzly slots into one of Europe’s most competitive SUV segments. Its slightly larger sibling stretches to 4.5 metres and offers a generous 600-litre boot, making it an appealing option for families who need extra luggage space without stepping into a larger SUV.

Both models will be offered with a choice of petrol, mild hybrid and fully electric powertrains, depending on market requirements. Outputs of up to 145hp have been confirmed, while buyers will also be able to choose between manual and automatic transmissions in selected markets. FIAT says the emphasis has been placed on affordability, ease of use and practicality, with both models featuring a spacious cabin, user-friendly technology and a wide range of personalisation options. Buyers will be able to choose from seven exterior colours when the models go on sale.

The arrival of the Grizzly twins continues FIAT’s wider transformation as part of the Stellantis group. The company has made no secret of its ambition to strengthen its presence in the highly competitive family SUV market while maintaining its reputation for accessible and value-focused motoring.

Speaking at the launch, FIAT CEO Olivier François described the new models as completing the brand’s family vehicle line-up.

“The Grizzly is for customers looking for space, comfort and practicality, while the Grizzly Fastback offers those same strengths in a more distinctive silhouette. Both have been designed around the needs of modern families while remaining true to FIAT’s philosophy of making mobility simple and affordable.”

The Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will make their public debut at the Paris Motor Show this October before going on sale towards the end of 2026. Irish pricing, specifications and local launch dates are expected to be announced closer to the vehicles’ arrival.
