As part of their contribution to a world-wide programme on the part of Mercedes-Benz to mark the 30thanniversary of the launch of their Sprinter van, their commercial vehicles sales manager, Fergus Conheady, and his team at Naas Road have heard from two dedicated Sprinter owners ‘whose experiences and enthusiasm for Sprinter is testimony to its status as a consistent winner of the Continental Ireland’s Van of the Year award, chosen by members of the Motoring Media Association in Ireland’.

The drivers concerned – Alin Liviu Miron, GM of Cashel-based haulage firm, Mitroline Transport and Frankie Paiu from Sandyford removals and storage firm, Moving Line – have both spoken in ‘glowing terms’ regarding their ‘high mileage’ experience with Sprinter, and of their confidence in its ‘enduring reliability’ to deliver the goods and get home to base when making deliveries to customers in far-flung European markets.

At Mitroline, whose high-profile clients include distinguished furniture and homewares retailer, IKEA, Alin Liviu Miron speaks with the authority that his role as General Manager at Mitroline gives him in pointing to the fact their frontline Sprinter model currently stands on the threshold of 1 million kilometres with 942,000kms on the clock.

Another prime Sprinter devotee is Sandyford removals and storage firm, Moving Line whose driver Frankie Paiu follows closely with a ‘whopping’ 856,000kms covered. Paiu – who speaks of Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and more as though they were just down the road – joins with Miron to speak of their satisfaction with Sprinter in video endorsements that can be viewed on the Mercedes-Benz Ireland YouTube channel athttps://youtu.be/_NQM-bXTvm4

Poised to join that elite community of drivers who have watched their vehicle break through the seven-digit, one million barrier – and, with a route network and customers to serve that variously require them to undertake travel to the eastern borders of the European Union – Alin and Frankie’s experiences are said by Fergus Conheady to “give substance to the confidence that Sprinter was built to deliver, and justification for the decision of so many prominent national and international customers who operate Sprinters on their fleets”.
