Harris Group has announced the appointment of Keith Dempsey as its new Dealer Development & Fleet Manager for Ireland; a role created to support the group’s sales growth and dealer expansion across the country. Focused solely on the MAXUS and Isuzu brands, the position bolsters Harris Group’s ambition to build market share while enhancing its aftersales offering nationwide.

The appointment signals a step-up for Dempsey from his previous position as Retail Sales Manager. He will report to Head of Sales & Dealer Network, Karl Haughton. As part of its growth plan, Harris Group is currently in dialogue with prospective dealers in several locations, with announcements expected in the coming months. The company’s full focus is to enter 2026 with representation in all key areas across Ireland.

Dempsey brings a strong track record in vehicle rental and leasing, with previous roles at Dublin-based retail operator Linders and equipment supplier Height for Hire, before joining Harris Group earlier this year as part of its retail sales operation. His broad experience will now be applied directly to strengthening the Harris Group’s dealer partnerships and driving fleet sales for the MAXUS and Isuzu brands in Ireland.

Commenting on his move, Keith Dempsey said, “Even before joining, it was clear to me that the Harris Group was entering a dynamic phase of growth, and I knew I wanted to be part of that journey. Now, having seen first-hand the scale of opportunity for both MAXUS and Isuzu in the Irish market, I am convinced we are well positioned to expand our dealer network and accelerate market share for both brands.”

Looking ahead, Dempsey highlighted dealer support as central to the strategy, “We already have strong partnerships in place, and my focus now is on extending our reach. I want to ensure the MAXUS and Isuzu networks are fully equipped to serve customers, while demonstrating that our brands deliver on price, reliability, and performance. Just as importantly, we are building a nationwide aftersales network to back this up.

“Our fleet business will be both our greatest challenge and our greatest opportunity through the remainder of 2025 and into 2026,” Dempsey added. “There’s work to be done, but with the new structure and momentum at Harris Group, I’m confident of success.”
