The latest BMW XM portfolio is sharpening its focus and will now consist of just two models. The BMW XM Label, now the flagship offering, is the only model to come equipped with an electrified V8 engine. It delivers exceptional performance with a combined WLTP energy consumption of 33.7 kWh per 100 km and 2.3 litres of fuel per 100 km. When the battery is discharged, fuel consumption increases to 12.8 l/100 km, with CO₂ emissions at 53 g/km. It offers a maximum electric range of 76 km.
Alongside it remains the BMW XM 50e, which continues unchanged. This variant features an electrified six-cylinder engine and combines a WLTP energy consumption of 32.0 kWh per 100 km with fuel consumption of just 1.6 l/100 km. With a discharged battery, fuel use rises to 11.3 l/100 km, and CO₂ emissions stand at 37 g/km. Its electric range stretches between 80 and 86 km.
The BMW XM Label is a fusion of immense power and cutting-edge hybrid technology. At its core is the M HYBRID system, pairing a 430 kW (585 hp) V8 engine with an electric motor generating up to 145 kW (197 hp). The result is a staggering total system output of 550 kW (748 hp) and a torque figure of 1,000 Nm, making it the most powerful production model in BMW M’s history. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 290 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package. Designed to offer exhilarating performance with bold styling, the XM Label is positioned at the pinnacle of the luxury performance SUV segment.
Its confident and expressive design embodies the spirit of BMW M as “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” This was recently celebrated through a collaboration with world-renowned British DJ and producer Carl Cox. In a unique project with BMW M, he created an audio experience blending the raw sounds of the XM — from the deep growl of the V8 to the signature Welcome chime and even the soft thud of the bonnet closing. The result is a distinctive sonic tribute that mirrors both his enthusiasm for the brand and the extravagant character of the XM itself.
BMW is further enhancing the XM Label with new customisation options for both exterior and interior. A fresh addition is the BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic paint, which accentuates the vehicle’s striking lines. The BMW M kidney grille, now available with a high-gloss black accent line, adds further distinction. A new Welcome Light Animation offers a dramatic presence at night, while the standard wheels for European models are now 22-inch light alloy Double-spoke style 922 M Bicolour with mixed-size tyres. Customers can also opt for 23-inch M light alloy wheels in style 1096 M finished in black.
Inside, the XM Label now offers an even more lavish interior experience. A standout option is the BMW Individual Night Blue Merino leather with exclusive trim elements. Other new upholstery combinations include Black Merino leather with Vintage Coffee Brown accents, as well as Silverstone Merino leather paired with Black surfaces. To complement the luxurious materials, matching comfort cushions are now standard for all BMW Individual Merino leather interiors.
Practical upgrades have also been made to the vehicle’s charging capability. The Combined Charging Unit of the M HYBRID system now supports AC charging at up to 11 kW, improving efficiency and flexibility for owners. The refined BMW XM Label made its official debut on June 14, 2025, during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The unveiling coincided with BMW M Motorsport’s participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship, where the BMW M Hybrid V8 competed on the legendary French circuit, underlining the brand’s commitment to performance both on and off the track.
