Nissan has revealed the all-new, fully electric Nissan Juke at its Vision event at the company’s global headquarters in Japan, marking another important step in its electrification plans for Europe. As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, Nissan is building on more than 15 years of EV experience to offer a broader, more flexible range that meets different customer needs in an increasingly competitive market. Compact, agile, and unmistakably Nissan, this is the first time the Juke has gone fully electric. It carries over the personality and boldness that made the original stand out, while reworking it for the EV era. Since its debut in 2010, the Juke has found more than 1.5 million homes across Europe, helping to redefine the compact crossover segment with its distinctive design. This new version keeps that spirit intact, but now with a zero-emissions powertrain.

The electric Juke joins a growing European line-up that includes the new Nissan Micra, third-generation Nissan Leaf, Nissan Ariya, and Nissan Townstar, with another A-segment EV on the way. Like the latest Leaf, the Juke EV will also support Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, allowing it to play a role in the wider energy ecosystem. At the same time, Nissan isn’t moving away from hybrid just yet. Its e-POWER technology—available in models like the Nissan Qashqai and Juke Hybrid—continues to offer an EV-like driving experience without the need to plug in, giving customers more choice depending on how they use their cars.

“Europe is central to our electrification strategy, and we remain firmly committed to a fully electric future,” said Massimiliano Messina, Chairman of Nissan AMIEO. “By expanding our EV line-up, we’re bringing more innovation and choice to every segment, supported by our strong design, engineering and manufacturing presence in the region.”

The new Juke EV will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, underlining its importance within the company’s global EV plans. Already home to the Leaf, the facility is set to begin early production trials of the new Juke in the coming weeks, further strengthening its role as a hub for electric manufacturing in Europe. This is backed by Nissan’s wider European network across the UK, Spain and Germany, spanning design, engineering and development. Together, these operations highlight the company’s long-term commitment to building vehicles in Europe, for European drivers.

“Juke has always been about bold design and doing things differently,” said Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President for Product, Brand and Marketing Strategy at Nissan AMIEO. “With this third generation, we’re carrying that idea into the electric age. As our first fully electric Juke, it opens the door to new customers while expanding our overall range.”

The third-generation Juke made its global debut at Nissan’s Vision Event in Japan, where the company outlined its future direction, product plans and latest technologies. The all-new electric Juke is expected to arrive in spring 2027.
