CUPRA has revealed the latest evolution of its all-electric hatchback, the new CUPRA Born, bringing sharper styling, improved interior quality and enhanced driving technology to the brand’s growing electric line-up. The updated model builds on the success of CUPRA’s first fully electric vehicle while strengthening the brand’s identity as a bold and unconventional challenger in the EV market. With a design that embraces the brand’s latest visual DNA, the new CUPRA Born introduces distinctive triangular CUPRA Matrix LED headlights and a redesigned rear featuring an integrated illuminated CUPRA logo.

Inside, the cabin has been refined with a stronger focus on perceived quality and driver engagement. New door panels enhance the interior finish, while a larger digital cockpit improves information display and usability. A redesigned steering wheel now features physical controls for greater tactile interaction and easier access to key driving functions. The driving experience has also been enhanced with a range of new features designed to make every journey more engaging. CUPRA has introduced an immersive interior sound experience, launch control and a new One Pedal Driving system that allows drivers to accelerate and decelerate smoothly using a single pedal. Wider tyres on both 19-inch and 20-inch wheel options further improve grip and stability, helping to deliver a more confident and dynamic feel on the road.

At the top of the range sits the new CUPRA Born VZ, the most powerful version of the model to date. Delivering up to 240kW, or 326PS, the VZ accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 5.6 seconds, underlining CUPRA’s focus on performance even within its electric line-up. Despite its impressive power output, the new Born also maintains strong long-distance capability, offering a projected electric range of around 600 kilometres depending on specification. CUPRA says the new Born reflects the brand’s continued commitment to combining electrification with driving excitement. Designed and developed in Barcelona, the vehicle blends sustainability, advanced digital technology and distinctive styling in a package that aims to appeal to drivers seeking something more emotional than a conventional electric car.

Production of the new CUPRA Born will take place at the Volkswagen Group’s Zwickau plant in Germany, one of Europe’s largest dedicated electric vehicle manufacturing facilities. Manufacturing is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the updated model expected to reach markets during the summer of that year. With its enhanced design, stronger performance and improved interior technology, the new CUPRA Born represents the next step in the brand’s electric journey, reinforcing its ambition to deliver electric vehicles that combine innovation with unmistakable character.
