Volkswagen Ireland has announced the launch of its new ID. Promise “100-Day Drive and Decide” offer, reinforcing its commitment to making the transition to electric driving as straightforward and reassuring as possible. The initiative begins on 14 February and will run until 31 May 2026. The ID. Promise is available across the fully electric Volkswagen ID. range, including the Volkswagen ID.3, Volkswagen ID.4, Volkswagen ID.5 and Volkswagen ID.7. Designed to give customers complete confidence when switching to electric mobility, the programme allows eligible retail buyers to live with their new ID. model for an extended period before making a final commitment.
Under the offer, customers can drive their vehicle for up to 100 days. If, after gaining real-world experience, the car does not meet their needs, they have the option to return it between 80 and 100 days following handover. In the event of a return, a refund will be issued minus reasonable costs. These may include charges for any damage or modifications, a 5% fair usage and depreciation fee, wall box costs where applicable, and any relevant finance deductions.
The ID. Promise is available to retail customers who meet certain criteria. Eligible vehicles must qualify for the Zero Emission Vehicle Ireland (ZEVI) grant administered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). The vehicle must not have exceeded 5,000km at the time of return. The offer is available to cash purchasers or those financing through Volkswagen Financial Services. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is excluded from the promotion.
