Global car icon Cadillac is partnering with Charles Hurst Group to open Ireland’s first wholly exclusive Cadillac dealership in south Dublin in a €1 million investment bringing the brand to Irish customers for the first time as part of its accelerated drive across Europe. And Irish drivers will have their first opportunity to see the all-new new LYRIQ and VISTIQ, part of the brand’s newest fully electric SUV range, as part of a showcase launch at the free-to-attend NEVO Electric Vehicle Show – Ireland’s largest Electric Vehicle Show – at RDS Simmonscourt on Friday 7 November for business customers and on Saturday 8 November for general customers.

Cadillac, a global heritage-rich brand within the General Motors (GM) portfolio, has been shaping the future of motoring through innovation, advanced technology, and iconic design since 1902 and is currently expanding its all-electric portfolio across Europe in its commitment to delivering gold-standard luxury EVs that offer a range of choices to meet diverse customer needs. Plans for the new Cadillac dealership in Dublin come after the leading all-island car retailer signed a major distribution deal with General Motors Europe, paving the way for the creation of Cadillac’s first official premium electric sales centre in Ireland.

Welcoming Ireland’s first Cadillac dealership, Lasse Grundstroem, Chief Commercial Officer for GM Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the Cadillac brand to Irish customers in partnership with the Charles Hurst Group, whose deep local expertise and commitment to customer service make them an exceptional launch partner. Ireland’s forward-looking sustainability vision and tech-savvy customer mindset are a perfect match for our all-electric portfolio. With Ireland now our fifth European market, this launch marks another exciting milestone in Cadillac’s expansion across the continent.”

The investment in the new Dublin dealership will also include specialist Cadillac training for all new employees, ensuring every customer benefits from the best knowledge, advice and insights on the marque’s compelling features, benefits and maintenance requirements. The LYRIQ, which is currently only sold in Switzerland, France, Sweden, and Germany, is already available to order for local customers, and will be followed by the soon-to-be-released VISTIQ and OPTIQ in 2026.

The specifications of the LYRIQ are impressive — the entry-level version offers an impressive range of around 530 kilometres and generates 520bhp, while those seeking an extra boost can choose the performance-focused top-tier model, which increases power to 606bhp. GM launched sales for its all-electric Cadillac business in Europe in 2023.

Charles Hurst Group Operations Director, Jeff McCartney, said: “Committed to an all-electric future, Cadillac leads in design, craftsmanship, and innovation and is successfully winning new customers around the world for its powerful performance, luxury and pioneering technology. As one of Ireland’s leading, longest-established car retailers with history and motoring heritage as long as the iconic GM brand, we’re thrilled to partner with Cadillac Europe and to be the first to bring this compelling brand to Irish customers for the first time as part of a major investment.”

Further details on the new Cadillac dealership, due to open in 2026, will be released shortly. For more information on how you can view the latest Cadillac models in Dublin, phone Charles Hurst Group on 01 6498559, or visit www.charleshurstgroup.co.uk/cadillac to register your interest.
