At Motor Distributors Limited (MDL), the pace of new model introductions planned for 2026 shows no sign of slowing, with 24 passenger car arrivals expected over the coming year. Of these, 15 will come from Mercedes-Benz, seven from BYD and two from XPENG.

Mercedes-Benz
Early arrivals for Mercedes-Benz will include the latest version of the popular four-door CLA Coupé and the CLA Shooting Brake. Both will arrive in the second quarter in internal combustion engine (ICE) and, for the first time, battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions. The second quarter will also see the introduction of the luxury SUV GLC in BEV form. Expected in late spring or early summer is the seven-seater GLB, which will be offered in both BEV and ICE versions. Also arriving in the second quarter is the all-electric AMG GT 4-door Coupé, a performance model that blends sports car styling with executive car practicality.
In the third quarter, Mercedes-Benz will unveil the updated S-Class saloon, followed by the S-Class Maybach as the ultra-luxury expression of the model line. The 2026 version of the popular C-Class will also arrive in the third quarter, in both saloon and estate variants, followed in early fourth quarter by BEV versions of the C-Class saloon. Late 2026 will see the arrival of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz GLA, the brand’s subcompact luxury SUV. Closing out the year will be the AMG GT BEV, an all-electric two-door luxury sports coupé that brings AMG performance into the electric era.

BYD
BYD is gearing up for a strong start to 2026 with the first-quarter arrival of the SEAL 6 with DMi technology, in both touring and saloon versions. A super-hybrid saloon, the SEAL 6 builds on the popularity of the BYD SEAL, offering a roomier cabin and the brand’s signature Ocean Aesthetics design. The touring version provides substantial cargo space with the rear seats folded, appealing to families and active customers. Early 2026 will also see the introduction of the BYD SEALION 5 with DMi technology, a compact super-hybrid SUV featuring Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.
Completing the early-year line-up is the BYD ATTO 2 with DMi technology, a compact super-hybrid SUV designed for city driving, offering agile handling, a tight turning radius and low fuel consumption. Later in the summer, the BYD DOLPHIN G will arrive, introducing a new Grand trim level for the popular electric hatchback. The third quarter will bring a refreshed all-electric BYD ATTO 3, followed in the fourth quarter by the new ATTO 3 super-hybrid variant. Together, these additions expand customer choice within BYD’s popular model range.

XPENG
Arriving early in the first quarter will be the all-new version of the all-electric, ultra-smart XPENG G6, a four-door coupé SUV. The second quarter will see the arrival of XPENG’s second model for Ireland, the large seven-seater all-electric X9, noted for its spacious cabin, enhanced comfort features and advanced touring AI system.
