Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland has announced some exciting news for the year ahead. They have had a successful year so far, with a market share growth of 0.4 percent to date and are currently celebrating 70 years of production. One of their key pieces of news is the launch of their ECO Grant, this will enable customers of any commercial vehicle or passenger car to scrap their vehicle and receive up to €4,000 allowance on their new Volkswagen commercial vehicle. All the scrap cars will be destroyed at approved end of life treatment centres which dispose of the vehicles safely. Customers can also avail of zero percent HP finance and 1.9 percent PCP finance on their new Volkswagen.
Other major news for the German brand is the introduction of the popular Caddy van with a TSI petrol engine. It will be available to Irish motorists with a choice of 3 engines, a 1.2-litre 84hp, 1.0-litre 102hp and a 1.4-litre with 125hp, all TSI petrol engines. These models will be advantageous for private users, with lower road tax costs compared to their diesel-powered siblings. The Volkswagen Caddy TSI range commences from a very reasonable €14,995 including vat or €13,995 with the ECO Grant.
With the vast majority of Irish customers opting to finance their vehicle through Volkswagen Bank, their lending has seen a further increase in 2017, lending over €30 million so far this year. The acceptance rate has increased by two percent year on year to 76 percent.
