BMW’s M6 Gran Coupe Unveiled

BMW has released some images and details of its forthcoming M6 Gran Coupe model, which joins the existing Coupe and Convertible models of the 6 Series. Getting straight to the important details, the M6 Gran Coupe delivers an impressive 560hp and 680Nm of torque, courtesy of its V8 engine which utilises M TwinPower Turbo technology. It can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds. Its bespoke features include a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof. It comes equipped with adaptive LED headlights as standard, sits low on exclusive 20” M light-alloy wheels. The M-signature twin exhaust tailpipes are seated on either side of the rear apron.

 

The M6 Gran Coupe’s power is transferred to its rear wheels via a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, complete with a launch control function. Some of the standard equipment fitted to the car includes, leather trim, heated seats, 20” alloys, climate control and an alarm system. Just some of the options include, M multifunction seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, soft close automatic doors, satellite navigation and a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system.

This new M6 Gran Coupe will arrive in Ireland towards the end of May 2013 with a starting price of €181,180.
