Polestar are delighted to announce that they are now live with sales of Polestar 2 in Ireland. The order books are open and business has fully commenced. The timing is ideal with the 222 number plate change just a few weeks away and supply is plentiful.
The range starts from €49,500* for the Standard range Single motor. Range 440 – 474 km (WLTP). 0 – 100 km/h: 7.4 sec. 170kW / 231hp.
The first cars available for delivery will be the Long range Dual motor priced from €61,990. Range 455 – 482 km (WLTP). 0 – 100 km/h: 4.7 sec. 300kW / 408hp. These cars will be delivered in July ’22. Polestar are at the beginning of the brands journey in Ireland and have ambitious plans to grow in the market. Starting with Polestar 2 and then with a new model to be released each year starting with the Polestar 3 next year, the brands first fully electric SUV. “Our set-up in Ireland is close to complete, we have achieved significant milestones in a very short space of time and the start of sales is the next key point. We will soon begin our test drive experience, currently we have over 1,500 people signed up to drive the Polestar 2 and this number is growing daily. We are very confident that Polestar will be a success in Ireland, based on initial public, press and the leasing companies response the star is pointing in the right direction,” says Kieran Campbell, Managing Director of Polestar Ireland.
Polestar will be located in the Sandyford Business District in South County Dublin, the group will be working in partnership with the Spirit Motor Group, one of Ireland premium motor groups. The Temporary Destination is soon to be established but it will be in time for July deliveries. This facility will be operated and managed by Spirit under the Polestar brand. Polestar also have a full product range of financing options available immediately with their financial services partner Finance Ireland. In partnership with Finance Ireland, they can cater for retail needs, PCP / HP and also for business needs with contract hire and leasing.
