New Mercedes-Benz B-Class Revealed

Mercedes-Benz has revealed its new second-generation B-Class, that will go on sale in Ireland this December. The B-Class has received a facelift, with new bumpers, a new wider front grille with star inset and new daylight running lights. The interior benefits from a new head unit and instrument cluster. Irish customers can choose from three specifications, Style, Urban and AMG. The new B-Class is offered with eight engines to choose from, four diesels and four petrol engines. The key seller will most likely be the 1.4-litre B160 CDI diesel with 90hp and 240Nm of torque, its price will be around €31,000. The more powerful B180 CDI will cost form approximately €32,000. Commenting on the new B-Class, Ciaran Allen, Mercedes-Benz passenger car sales manager said, “since its arrival here in 2012, the B-Class has built up a respectable customer following amongst those who want to balance its extra spaciousness with the economical running costs that a compact class model offers. We expect this trend to continue.”
