The Mazda MX-30 has been on sale across Europe since mid-late 2020, and has already sold over 10,000 units. Officially on sale and available in Irish Mazda showrooms since mid-February, the new EV arrives with an early collection of accolades to impress. Last December, the Mazda MX-30 was named Favourite Electric Car in the 2021 DrivingElectric.com Awards in the UK. The title was decided by votes from the readers of the specialist electric and hybrid vehicle review site DrivingElectric.com.

Commenting on the MX-30’s award, DrivingElectric.com Editor, Richard Ingram, said: “Mazda’s compact SUV was the clear winner in our poll to find the readers’ favourite among the new electric cars revealed this year. The Japanese brand has taken a slightly different direction to rivals, focusing on stylish design, an engaging driving experience and sustainable interior materials rather than the biggest battery for the longest range possible.”

Further afield, Mazda MX-30 was named Design Car of the Year, a newly established award in the 2020-2021 Car of the Year Japan awards.

For Ikuo Maeda, Head of Global Design, Mazda Corporation, “it is truly an honor to have the MX-30 receive this award as a token of high esteem for its design. In 2010, we started to apply Kodo design under the design philosophy of ‘breathing life into cars.’ As we strove to further mature Kodo design on its tenth year since birth, we were able to materialize its new directionality through the MX-30.”

Starting at €30,495*, the fully electric Mazda MX-30 is now available for sale in official Mazda dealerships. Visit www.Mazda.ie for more information and offers on the Mazda MX-30 or the electrified range.
