Jaguar has unveiled its all-new two-seater sports car, the F-TYPE at the Paris Motor Show. The F-TYPE will be available across three variants, F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and the F-TYPE V8 S. The F-TYPE and F-TYPE S are powered by a 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine producing 340hp and 380hp respectively, whilst the F-TYPE V8 S has a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine which produces 495hp. This range-topping model can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds. All the engines are mated to an eight-speed ‘Quickshift’ transmission, with the S models benefiting from a limited-slip differential. The F-TYPE features all-aluminium double wishbone front and rear suspension and a quick-ratio steering rack. Commenting on the car, Ian Hoban, Vehicle Line Director, Jaguar said, “With the F-TYPE, the Jaguar engineering team focused on delivering greater dynamic driving reward than ever before. To make that a reality, every engineer has had very tough targets to hit: every one of those targets has been met and, in many cases, exceeded, making the F-TYPE a car that delivers precisely the key sporting attributes that we intended.” This new F-TYPE looks the part and is sure to offer an exhilarating driving experience, we look forward to test driving it in the near future.
