This Friday will see the third annual Fund-Racer Ireland Supercar Track-day, taking place at Mondello Park. Jason and Siobhan O’Reilly who are parents of two autistic children are the main organisers of this event and in recent years it has been a huge success. This unique event highlights the continued need for services like Irish Autism Action and the Jay & Ellie Foundation while raising a significant amount of money all whilst providing a fun day out for the entire family. At this event there will be 75+ Supercars, Racing Cars and Drift Cars. Professional Racers will be on hand to offer passenger laps for a donation. Drift & drag race demonstrations will also take place and the atmosphere will be electric with a D.J. & Family entertainment/participation throughout the day. The format is an open track day, with two main sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

There will be two drift exhibitions from the Irish drifting team at 12:25 and 3:35. In addition a number of drivers will bring spectators for a lap once a contribution of €20 per ride has been donated to the cause. This year their will be a large number of Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, professional Rally & Drift cars and even the ‘Back to the Future’ DeLorean coming along. Over the past two years this event raised €17,000 in 2013 and €27000 in 2014 and this year it should be  bigger again. Rev.ie journalists Ian Beatty and Justin Delaney will be driving at this event and should you wish to enter please contact Jason direct on +353 86 8283361. The cost for driving at this trackday is €250 and you can come to just display your car if you don’t wish to drive on track. Families that attend can also enjoy the historical museum which will also be open. Spectating at this event is free but once again it is a charity event so we would urge you to sign up for some passenger laps to show your support. See you all Friday.
