As the final countdown to the exciting new SEAT Supercup Ireland gets underway, controlled tyre provider Yokohama have announced that as part of their commitment to the inaugural championship they will send a tyre technician to support drivers at the opening round. Getting underway at Bishopscourt over the weekend of May 9-10, the high speed County Down circuit is one where the 301Bhp SEAT Sport built Leon Supercopas will come into their own with correct tyre set-up integral to that performance. Ireland’s only manufacturer backed championship, all drivers contesting the 5 event/10 round SEAT Supercup Ireland will race on Yokohama’s A005 250/650R18 tyre. In addition to the championship’s opening event, Yokohama will also send a tyre technician to support the championship on one of its three visits to Mondello Park.
