Jaguar Ireland has been announced as the official car partner of Longines Irish Champions Weekend, which takes place at Leopardstown and the Curragh racecourses on September 12th and 13th. To celebrate, the luxury car brand is offering racegoers at each track the chance to win a five star trip for the winner and their guest, to explore Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way in the new Jaguar XE sports saloon, staying in some of the most luxurious hotels along the way, with €500 spending money. Each winner’s luxury trip begins with a stay in the 5-star Merrion Hotel, located in the Georgian quarter of Dublin 2. The following morning, they will travel the Wild Atlantic Way in comfort and style in a Jaguar XE, stopping at Ballynahinch Castle in Galway for an overnight stay with breakfast.
Driving from castle to castle, Mayo’s Ashford Castle is the second destination. Recently voted ‘Hotel of the Year’ by Virtuoso, the luxury travel network, the lucky racegoers will enjoy a two night bed and breakfast stay on the shores of Lough Corrib. From Ashford Castle, they will continue along the Wild Atlantic Way to the Sheen Falls Lodge to enjoy the Kenmare countryside for two nights with breakfast, before returning to the Merrion Hotel where an overnight stay with breakfast concludes the luxury break. To be in with a chance to win, racegoers attending both Leopardstown and the Curragh racecourses can complete a competition entry form at each Jaguar Destination. Each form has an individual code which entrants will tear off and keep.
After the sixth race at Leopardstown and seventh race at the Curragh, entrants will be notified to make their way to the parade ring. All codes will be put into a drum and a winning code will be pulled out by the nominated judge. The code number will be announced and the owner of the code has 40 seconds to claim their prize. If they don’t claim it within the 40 seconds another code is pulled out until a winner is found.
