The new Kia Sorento has arrived on Irish shores. The all wheel drive (standard) 7-seater is priced from €37,990. There will two trim levels available to Irish motorists, EX and Platinum, both are powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 197hp. The standard level of equipment on the entry-level model is generous with 17” alloys, a roof rack, parking sensors, climate control and Bluetooth connectivity all included.
The Platinum variant receives a Panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, rain sensing wipers, rear privacy glass, a reversing camera and HID headlights. Under the bonnet the Sorento’s engine has been improved to offer lower emissions and an increase in fuel economy. As a result it’s seated in tax band C, with an annual motor tax of €390.
