The Volvo V40 range is to benefit from the addition of new, low emission diesel and petrol engines, with the V40 Cross Country also benefiting from the option fitment of all-wheel drive. The V40 D2 and R-Design D2 are now available to order with an automatic transmission. There’s also a new 177hp D4 2.0-litre diesel engine on offer and a new 180hp T4 petrol variant. The petrol engine line-up now sees the inclusion of a new 120hp T2 model, it’s a four-cylinder 1.6-litre unit which can return a combined fuel consumption of just 5.3l/100km.

Also available on the new Volvo V40 is Volvo’s Sensus Connected Touch, a 7” touch screen infotainment system that’s connected to the internet via a car-mounted 3G/4G dongle or the driver’s mobile phone. You can access full internet browsing and online Google Maps amongst many other features. Prices for the Volvo V40 range commence from €27,595.
