The new DS 3 had its global reveal back in January at Le Louvre in Paris. It’s the first real change to the popular supermini since DS separated from Citroen and became a brand in its own right. On the outside this heavily revised model has a new a square-cut grille and more angular bumper. It also has a shiny chrome surround for that new grille, which then extends out to the headlights and it gets 3D-effect tail-lights. All the time retaining the key DS3 features of the two tone paint and floating roof-line. Now the DS 3 has now arrived on Irish soil and is available to test drive and order via the Irish dealer network. The new DS 3 line-up now consists of two core trim levels; Elegance and Prestige. The list of standard equipment has been enhanced and the vast scope for personalisation for which the DS3 is renown, is now even more extensive.
The New DS 3 in ‘Elegance’ trim features brand new ‘Blade’ 16-inch alloy wheels and LED front fog lights. Inside, sports seats with stylish new ‘Dinamica’ cloth trim and automatic air-conditioning provides a comfortable and dynamic ambiance. Latest-generation functionality includes rear parking sensors and the DS Connect Box emergency and assistance system. The ‘Prestige’ version comes specified, as standard, with eMyWay satellite navigation and front parking sensors, as well as Alcantara® upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels and a plethora of other enhancements. The new DS 3 is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines and in both manual and automatic variants. Prices start from €21,345 for the DS3 Elegance Puretech 82 while the entry level diesel is the DS3 Elegance BlueHDi 100 S&S is priced at €23,795.
