The Mazda CX-5 has been named the 2012-2013 Car of the Year in Japan, the award was announced by the Japan Car of the Year committee. The CX-5 was the first model to adopt Mazda’s new SKYACTIV technologies. Since it went on sale approximately nine months ago, Mazda has taken 37,000 orders in Japan, over 33,000 in Europe and over 128,000 globally.
