Pictured above is John McGuinness, 21-time Isle of Man TT winner with Aidan Lynam of Down Syndrome Ireland at the recent Irish Motorbike Show. John Mc Guinness was on hand to launch the 10th Rev-up4DSI annual motorcycle challenge that takes place on the May bank holiday weekend (2nd-4th) and this year will see the event celebrate its tenth Birthday.
Founded by a pair of keen motorcyclists, both of whom have daughters born with Down Syndrome, Rev-up4DSI has raised in excess of €1.5million of much needed funds for Down Syndrome Ireland to date. The event is amystery tour with only the organisers knowing where the base for the weekend will beand indeed the route that will take the participants to it. This all adds to the craic and camaraderie on the road.
Each participant must raise a minimum of €500 to participate in the 3 day event but accomodation and meals are included. For further information log on to http://revup4dsi.ie/ email info@downsyndrome.ie or call 01 4266500.
