Jack Byrne August 15

17 year-old Jack Byrne from Ratoath, Co. Meath has been selected as the Dunlop Young Racing Driver of the Month for August. Jack won both of races at the August 9th race meeting in Mondello Park and also set the fastest lap. With the two final Fiesta Junior championship rounds taking place at the last race meeting of the year on the 11th October, a second place for Jack in either of the races would clinch the title for him. He comes from a racing background, with both his father Kevin and his uncle Rory having been regular competitors some years ago.

Jack’s car is backed by rev.ie, with support from E Fox Engineering. He attends Ratoath College, where he is preparing for his Leaving Certificate examinations next June. Having been selected as the fifth Dunlop Driver of the Month for the 2015 season, Jack is now a contender for the prestigious Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Award and the historic Sexton Trophy. This award is presented annually and is supported by Dunlop, the Irish Sports Council and Motorsport Ireland.

All of us at rev.ie are delighted for Jack on his achievements in his first year in motor racing and would like to wish him the best of luck going into his Championship deciding rounds this weekend.
