What a weekend the young Waterford man had! Heading into the event Breen was 20 point behind championship leader Egon Kaur. With 25 points for a win and 17 points for second it was looking like an impossible feat for the 20 year old. However, with one extra point for each stage win in the even Craig had a mathematical chance at winning should he get 13 fastest stage times.

I spoke to Craig before the event and he was so focused on just getting out there and taking each stage as it comes, trying to win each and every one. In his head he could do it, and that’s exactly what he did! With 13 stage wins and taking the championship right down to the last stage. Craig won the final stage, Rally GB and the WRC Academy overall!
