The category winners for the Continental Irish Van of the Year 2012 have been announced. The Fiat Punto Van and Volkswagen Amarok were declared as the Continental Irish Car-Derived Van of the Year 2012 and Irish Commercial SUV of the Year 2012 respectively.

Speaking at the presentation and handing over the awards was Paddy Murphy of Continental Tyres who commented: “In today’s tough commercial vehicle market, these two great vehicles have won the valuable endorsement of the Irish Motoring Writers Association. I am sure that winning this Continental Irish Van of the Year Category Award will be a huge boost for both the Punto Van and Amarok.”

The award is voted by nine members of the IMWA Van jury. The overall winner for the Continental Irish Van of the Year 2012 was the Volkswagen Crafter.
