Chrysler’s first ever supermini, the all-new Ypsilon, has gone on sale inIreland. Aimed at those seeking luxury and prestige in a compact and affordable package, the 2012 Chrysler Ypsilon has been designed to be both elegant and distinctive, which special attention has also been lavished upon the layout, finish and quality of its eye-catching cabin.

Three engines power the all-new Chrysler Ypsilon: the award-winning 85hp, 875cc, two-cylinder TwinAir unit, an entry-level 69hp 1.2-litre petrol engine and the advanced 95hp 1.3 MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine. Each powerplant is remarkably frugal and eco-friendly, aided by Start&Stop, a Gear Shift Indicator and low rolling-resistance tyres. As a result, every Ypsilon sold inIrelandfalls comfortably into Tax/VRT Band A.

The Chrysler Ypsilon is available in three trim levels, S, SE and Limited, with the entry-level S specification offering remote central locking, electric front windows, a height-adjustable steering wheel, a height adjustable driver’s seat, six airbags and a rear spoiler all as standard. The SE model adds air conditioning, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, front foglamps with cornering illumination, a leather steering wheel and gearknob, a height adjustable passenger seat and Blue&Me connectivity. Standard specification of the range-topping Limited model includes leather trim, dual zone climate control, electric rear windows, cruise control and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Prices start at €14,245 for the 1.2 S, rising to the €18,745 for the top-of-the-range TwinAir Limited while options including next-generation “Park Magic”, ESP stability control (standard on TwinAir versions), exclusive two-tone metallic paint and the latest Blue&Me TomTom satellite navigation system with live traffic updates and a Google search function.
